Annual Charity Build!

Each fall, Habitat for Humanity of South Central New Jersey brings its most passionate, and competitive, partners together for a friendly building competition and fundraiser.  Local business professionals will swap their offices for the outdoors and form teams that build structures, complete challenges, and even sabotage other groups in their efforts to finish projects. The event is a wonderful team building experience that promotes workforce unity while making a significant contribution to the community by raising funds for affordable housing initiatives. 

In the past, the “work hard, play hard” Charity Build teams have built interior walls that were installed in a new home in Evesham, playhouses that were donated to families on the McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst Base, poverty housing from around the world to demonstrate the global need for housing, and neighborhood of haunted houses for a trick-or-treat event. 

This year’s challenge will be located in Atlantic City, Habitat SCNJ’s newest service area expansion since 2020! The funds raised by Charity Build will help make affordable housing a “shore” thing for local families in need by directly supporting Habitat SCNJ’s affordable housing initiatives that build and repair homes across south and central New Jersey, from the Delaware River to the Jersey Shore.

  • Time: 11AM- 3PM
    11Am-12PM: Registration, Lunch & Networking
    12PM-3PM : Building Competition
